
Singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen continued his criticism of the president Donald Trump Wednesday by releasing a six-track digital expansion play (EP) that included his political rants when it took place last week in Manchester, England.
“Boss” is also included Four songs from the 31-minute EP“A land of hope and dreams.” Songs included “Land of Hope and Dreams,” “Long Walk Home,” “My City of Ruins,” and “Chimes of Freedom.”
All four songs were recorded live on May 14th, 2025.
In his introduction to “Land of Hope and Dreams,” Springsteen said it was great to be back in Manchester, calling for “the right, music, the righteous power of rock and roll” “in a dangerous time.”

“In my house America I loveAmerica, which I wrote about, has been a beacon of hope and freedom for 250 years, and is now in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and uncomfortable administration,” he said.
Springsteen made another political rumour against Trump and the US government before the E Street Band began kicking the song “My City of Ruins.”
“There’s a very strange, weird and dangerous S—it’s going there now,” Springsteen told the British crowd. “In America, they are persecuting people by using their right to free speech and voicing dissent. This is happening now. In America, the wealthiest men are satisfied and abandoning the world’s poorest children to illness and death.

“This is happening now,” he added. “In my country, they have a sadistic joy in the pain that poses to loyal American workers, and they are rewinding the historic civil rights laws that have led to more just and multiple societies.
Springsteen also accused the government of reimbursing American universities of “not succumbing to their ideological demands.”
“They are removing residents from the streets of America and expelling them to foreign detention centers and prisons without a legitimate process in the law,” he said. “This is all happening now. The majority of elected representatives have failed to protect the American people from unfair presidents and unfair government abuse.

“The America I sang to you for 50 years is genuine and it’s a great country with great people regardless of its flaws,” Springsteen added. “So we will survive this moment.”
The crowd responded with applause as Springsteen continued to respect his attitude towards the current administration.
Comments went viral last week, with Trump responding by denounced Springsteen and calling him “highly overrated.”

“I think the highly overrated Bruce Springsteen is going abroad to talk badly about the US president,” Trump wrote in a post about True Society. “I didn’t like him, I didn’t like his music or radical left politics. Importantly, he’s not a talented guy.

“Sleepy Joe had no clue as to what he was doing, but Springsteen was “silly as a rock” and had no idea what was going on, or he (even worse!) said that the locker’s “all skin atrophy” (all his skin is abused!) should keep his mouth closed until he returns to the country. “I declared that I would cast my vote last year,” Springsteen said. Kamala Harris Tim Waltz was in the presidential election. Harris lost the race to Trump.
