
Weezer bassist Scott Schliner’s wife, Gillian Lauren Schliner, was shot dead by a Los Angeles police officer after allegedly pointed a gun at authorities on Tuesday.
According to a press release issued by LAPD, several officers responded to a backup request Tuesday afternoon “finding three misdemeanor hit-and-run suspects who fled to a residential area.”
When officers were behind the house where they saw the suspect last run, they saw a woman in the yard of a nearby house, who was later identified as Schliner’s wife.
According to a press release, Gillian, 51, is armed with a handgun and was ordered by law enforcement to drop his weapon “several times.”

“But she refused,” LAPD said.
“But she refused.”
Jillian is then allegedly pointed a gun at the police officer before police shot her.

According to LAPD, she retreated inside the house and later left and was taken into custody. LAFD paramedics took Jillian to the hospital where he was treated for a life-threatening gunshot wound.

According to LAPD, Gillian was not involved in Hit and Run and was booked in absent due to an attempted murder. Police say the 9mm handgun was recovered from his home.
None of the people were injured during the shooting.
Gillian’s bail was set at $1 million by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Office.

Weezer, including Shriner, Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson and Brian Bell, was recently announced as surprise performers. Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival It will begin on April 11th. The band is scheduled to perform on Saturday.
A Weezer representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Fox News Digital.
