“When we allow us to constantly distract ourselves from these culture wars over trans people, it’s new every day, and the answer is not just to attack those people, but to say, ‘What are you doing?’ Ocasio-Cortez thinks, we need to stand up for those people, thinking that it’s just that we haven’t even discussed it.”
“For example, we need to understand and see the food as to what it is, but we don’t just erode those rights and let them go on the roadside.”
Ocasio-Cortez previously voted in favor of several bills that would allow transathletes to play in women and girls’ sports across the country, including the Equality Act and the Transgender Bill of Rights. She also argued on January 14 that protections for women and girls in sports law empower children sexual predators and reinforce “trans girls” as “girls.”
