Dave Shapiro, music executives in the heavy metal and hard rock scene, and drummer Daniel Williams, San Diego plane crash.
Six people, including Shapiro and Williams, were on planes when they crashed into a neighborhood in a US Navy-owned home in San Diego early Thursday morning. It is not considered a survivor.
Williams, a former drummer for metal band The Devil Wears Prada, posted on Instagram on Wednesday afternoon that he was on a plane with Shapiro. The band posted a homage to Williams on their Instagram page.

“There are no words. We owe you everything. We love you forever,” the band wrote.
Shapiro has a pilot license and was listed as the owner of a crashed plane, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. He is one of six people killed in the crash, and along with two employees, music agency Sound Talent Group confirmed Thursday.
“We are devastated by the loss of our co-founders, colleagues and friends. Our hearts are directed at our families and everyone affected by today’s tragedy.”

Shapiro co-founded the Sound Talent Group in 2018 with Tim Borror and Matt Andersen. The agency represented a diverse roster of artists, including Pierce The Veil and Parkway Drive. Total of 41 Vanessa Carlton.
Shapiro was a powerful advocate for independent musicians and was the co-founder of the National Independent Talent Organization. He was on Billboard’s 2012 “30 Under 30” list, which recognized the entertainment new star. Industry veterans say Shapiro paved the way for the formation of other independent institutions, helping many alternative bands find audiences in the mainstream.

A tribute poured out by the entire music industry, with many celebrating Shapiro’s dedication to the artist and his authentic characters.
A total of 41 singers Deryck Whibley believed that Shapiro helped build back-up for the rock band during the “low point” of their career.
“His view was very important to me,” Whibley said. “He was the guy I went to seek advice on things.”

Nate Brasdell, former lead guitarist for the band I burned my friend, said he was “absolutely heartbroken.”
“Dave was the first booking agent I ever worked for, and he was a major part of my late teenage music career,” he said in a post on X.
“He was really the best in the game and was one of the most respected people in the industry.”
In addition to his work Music industryShapiro was a passionate aviator. He owns Velocity Aviation, a flight school that offers lessons in San Diego and Homer, Alaska.

The flight began in Teterboro, New Jersey. After a stop in Wichita, Kansas, it appeared to have been inbound at Montgomery Gibbs’ executive airport.

The house was swallowed by flames and the jet fuel tumbled down the road. Half a dozen vehicles were lit and residents near the US Navy-owned home woke up and shook by a violent crash before 4am and a subsequent explosion. Outside their window they saw the fire wall.

“I can’t use any words to describe what the scene looks like, but as jet fuel goes down the street and everything is on fire at once, San Diego Police Chief Scott Wall said according to the Associated Press.
No one in the neighborhood had died, but eight people were taken to hospital, including those who were injured by climbing through the window due to smoke inhalation and uninjured injuries, said officer Anthony Carrasco.
