He added, “I’ve never seen anything like that. The walls were very clearly visible.”

Weather conditions also helped archaeologists. Benzson found traces of the monastery on a dry summer day.
“When the ground is dry, what is called crop marks forms, and these walls are very visible on the ground,” he explained.

“When we use underground intrusion radars, the structures below the ground appeared as dark spots, and there was a significant anomaly here.”
Archaeologists have discovered a wall about 6.5 feet thick and other sides of the building.

Experts believe the walls are the remains of the foundations of the pillars.
“It’s the east wings and dormitories we see,” added Arkeologerna’s statement. “We’re not sure if more were built or not. They may have begun. Building a church And then it stopped. ”
