Billy Joel With a diagnosis of brain damage, he announced that all shows had been cancelled.
Joel, 76, has been diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), which affects his vision, hearing and balance. According to Yale drugit is a rare condition.

NPH is a condition in which cerebrospinal fluid accumulates inside the skull and occurs when the brain is pressed. This condition is most likely to occur in people over the age of 65. A statement shared on social media last March said: “The current tour has been postponed for four months, allowing you to recover from recent surgery and receive physical therapy under the supervision of a doctor.
“Joel is set to fully recover. The tour will resume on July 5th, 2025 at Aquilis Earth Stadium in Pittsburgh.”
