
Immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) officials and the US Doge Services are reportedly considering adding a Medicare database to the arsenal of tools used in cracking down on illegal immigration. The Washington Post published a report on the agency’s complaint plan on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the issues and internal documents.
According to the post, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) includes personal information, including personal information – ICE is asking for it. The database, known as the Integrated Data Repository (IDR), serves as an archive of beneficiary information, Medicare claims, and more.

The alleged joint initiative between Doge and Ice appears to be in line with the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration and government waste.
