
Hunter Biden on Wednesday dropped a lawsuit filed in September 2023 against whistleblowers from two Internal Revenue Service.
Biden’s attorneys filed a motion in US District Court to dismiss the case on bias for the District of Columbia.
The lawsuit, first filed by his former eldest son two years ago, alleged that IRS special agent Gary Shapley and IRS criminal investigator Joseph Ziegler “were “treated targeting and annoying” through a statement to the media revealing details of the tax issue for “private citizens.”

Shapley and Zielger testified before the House Oversight Committee earlier that year, but said they faced various restrictions when they were tasked with investigating former President Joe Biden’s son.
“It was always clear that the lawsuit was an attempt to threaten us,” Shapley and Zilger said in a statement after Hunter Biden repealed the case. New York Post. “The threats and retaliation never worked. We really wanted to provide a full story in court, but it appears that Biden was afraid to actually fight this case in court.”
“The voluntary dismissal of his case tells us everything we need to know who was right and who was wrong,” they added.
The attorneys for the two whistleblower have first highlighted that Hunter Biden has “dismissed his case for bias.”
