The Memphis Grizzlies I was kneeling and praying for my teammate Jalen Wells. Jalen Wells had to stretch out of the court Tuesday after a fierce foul during the dunk first fell on hardwoods.
Wells wanted a transition dunk Charlotte Hornets Guard KJ Simpson ran under his feet trying to stop a simple bucket. With Wells already in the air, Simpson’s actions were expensive as they wiped out Wells’ legs and flipped them over in the air before falling violently over his head.
Simpson’s actions were clearly not intentional. Because he quickly rushed over to him before medical staff rushed over him under the basket to assess the situation.

Simpson was kicked out after the judge reviewed the play and upgraded his common foul to Flagrant 2, whether intentional or not.
The crowd at Charlotte’s Spectrum Center was silent due to the wells tendency of medical staff. They decided that he needed to stabilize his head and neck as he placed him on a stretcher to leave the arena.
The crowd cheered, and Wells drove off the court, and he raised his hand to show that he was aware and moving.
Everyone in the court was shocked, but the Grizzlies saw many people kneeling and praying for the well. Players like Ja Morant had towels above their heads as they watched.
Later in the game, Wells’ father Fred said his son was “waking up and being wary.”
ESPN also reports That Wells agent, Aman Dosey, said the rookie had a broken wrist in the fall.
Wells held an incredible rookie campaign, with the Grizzlies running from the Western Conference to a great playoff contender. He averages 10.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists in more than 26 minutes per game he plays against the Hornets.
