
MLB legend Pedro Martinez revealed Tuesday night that he still has a family buried in a tiled rub after the roof fell in a nightclub dominican republic.

“I still have a family inside the kawara rub. I don’t know what happened to them, but we just want to be strong, as we have always been,” he said in a video posted to his Instagram.
Martinez expressed his sadness to those who have lost their loved ones and those who are still trying to find someone who is missing.
“I express my sadness to all the families who have families in the Dominican Republic and to the people of the United States,” he added in X’s post.
“We are affected by tragedy and are affected by tragedy. Our hearts are with you. We are a country that prays a lot and is always united.”

Jetset’s nightclub was packed into the Monday night, which entered Tuesday morning as they held one of their weekly parties. Former MLB player Octavio Dotel And Tony Blanco was one of those who died when the entire roof collapsed as it danced to a meringue concert.
Nelsicruz, the governor of the northwestern state of Monte Christi and sister to former MLB All-Star Nelson Cruz, was called Lewis Abinader of the Dominican Republic while being trapped in the tile ruis. She later died in the hospital. Other victims include singer Rubby Perez, Saxophonist Luis Solis and fashion designer Martin Polanco.
Authorities have set the death toll at 124.
Authorities are asking for calm as people waiting for information about their loved ones become increasingly concerned.
MLB recalled people who got lost in the tragedy before some games on Tuesday night.

“Major League Baseball is deeply saddened by the passing of Octavio Dotel, Tony Blanco and Nelsy Cruz, and the passing of all the victims of last night’s tragedy at Santo Domingo,” he said. “We send our sincere condolences to all the people affected, friends and colleagues Nelson and his whole family,” MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred said in a statement.
