Tim McGraw His life owes to his wife Faith Hill.
While appearing in “Tracy Lawrence’s Road House” podcast, McGraw, 58, opened up about his nearly 30-year marriage to Hill, explaining how the country star could turn his life around.
“I was lucky. I was very lucky. First I met my wife. It saved my life. I was a wild man,” he said. “I was having fun.”
“She has shaking my life around. I couldn’t find a better woman. Not only is she beautiful and talented, she’s a good, good person. And she has our daughter. “It’s life-changing. They make you a better person, and they certainly calm your demons down.”

“[Fatherhood] It changed my perspective. It changed the way I thought about what my future holds. It certainly took me out of myself,” said McGraw, who has been calm since 2008 and has been spoken out frankly in the past. About how Hill supported him by quitting alcohol.

Looking back at the time, McGraw told people, “We were young, stupid, lovingly goo-eyed.”
Hill, who was engaged to record producer Scott Hendrix at the time, later made the public about getting together with McGraw, saying, “If anyone judges my character, I left him for someone else, so if I judge my character.”

McGraw, who has been open about his personal struggles for many years, admitted that he would probably not be alive if he had not crossed his path with his present wife almost 30 years ago.
