“For decades, our country has been plundered, plundered, raped and looted by both our friends and enemies nearby countries,” Trump told the White House on April 2.
The administration later returned the initial proposal, and announced on April 9 that it would raise tariffs on Chinese goods to 145%, but reduce the 90-day mutual tariffs to a 10% baseline. In response, China has raised tariffs on US goods to 125%.
Additionally, Trump signed an executive order on March 20th to overhaul the education division. This follows the promises made by the campaign to eliminate federal influence on education and “stop taxpayer abuse and inculcate American youth.”
