New York Yankees Manager Aaron Boone and second baseman DJ Lemahieu were kicked out in 10 innings of the team’s 2-1 loss on Friday at Fenway Park for discussing a foul ball.
Lemahieu was batting at the top of the 10 innings with two outs, so he cut down the drive down the right field line Red Sox Reliver Garrett Whitlock.
One base referee Elemy Lehak called for a ball foul, and the normally restrained Lemahieu responded in response to Cole as he ran through the first baseline. Boone then tried the phone.
