Drew McIntyre returns to his ring WWE Saturday Night Main Event When he faces Randy Orton over a month after losing to Damien’s priest in a Steel Cage match.
McIntyre showed him his face last week when he interrupted the segment between Orton and Orton. Cody Rhodes.
McIntyre wondered “what happened” to Orton, as the so-called “legendary murderer” appears to have lost his psychological war with Rhodes before losing a match with him, who would have given him an indisputable WWE Championship shot with John Senna at Summerslam.

Orton got the last words of the night, but set up a match between the two superstars Saturday night main event.
“We’ll know,” McIntyre told Fox News Digital when asked if Orton had lost his killer’s instinct. “He finally ran his mouth for eight minutes and then finally dropped me with an RKO. But I’m honest. I’m always honest. I’m not a bad guy. ‘Heel’ is like everyone likes to say.
“I was able to butter him for months, how great a friend they are, how much he respects him, leading Randy’s guards into a match (champion’s night) and Split Randy fine-tuned his back, repaired him surgically, his back never returned from a moment.
“What did Cody do?” My good friend, oh my goodness, are you okay? I want to do this the right way. “No, he targeted his back.
McIntyre said “Plodding” Orton is part of a plan to get a match with him. He compared himself to John Cena and said he was not going to take the “cheap” route by selling his soul.

When it came to who wants to face because of the title, he pointed directly to Rhodes and made it clear he didn’t want to stand up to this version of Cena.
WWE Stardrew McIntyre talks about getting back under the microscope and get well before coming back
“China and Cody With SummerSlam. …I’ve already said this. I don’t want this John Cena. This John Cena is a little b —-,” he said. That would be a big match. I don’t want this China.
“I want him to pack him in like he used to – h fuss, loyalty, respect, do things the right way. These cheap finishes, everyone leaves the arena like, “It sucks, it was a waste of money.” I want the real John Cena.
McIntyre compares his career with Rhodes and believes their potential matchups are something everyone wants to see.
“And like I said to Cody in a parallel career that had been in 20 years. We both handed some cheesy hands with the characters of the day. We both had to find ourselves, come back and get to where we are now.”

“Parallel careers, various destinations. The stories are incredible, the matches are incredible. But I tore the title out of Cody’s hands and look at the appearance of his face and say, “Oh, this wasn’t scared of the same Drew.”
