Almost two weeks after the incident, the WNBA said Tuesday that the league could not demonstrate allegations against fans who attended the game, despite the investigations sparked on social media.
Portnoy led to a heat response to the WNBA conclusion.
“It’s okay to have a spine Indiana fever,” he wrote. “The “study” was bulls. Both you and the WNBA have given the very obvious troll (reliability). That’s how ESPN ran. Caitlyn Clark had to protect his fans for no reason.
Pacers Sports & Entertainment CEO Mel Raines has released a statement on the conclusions of the league’s investigation.

Angel Reese has not been asked about the WNBA.
“We are grateful for the quick and thorough process that the WNBA has made to investigate these allegations, but that has not been demonstrated,” Reigns said. “At Gainbridge Field House, we are committed to providing the best basketball experience possible for players and fans who have absolutely no place in hate speech. Indiana is home to the largest fans in the world and we look forward to an exciting season of hot basketball.”
Portnoy responded too WNBA’s statement.

“No–You’re in f—moron,” he wrote. “Maybe next time I create a racial war based on the angry tick talk of the Chicago Sky/Angel Troll that wasn’t even in the game, honestly, it’s one of the worst mismanagements I’ve ever seen.”
