It’s been nearly two weeks since Atlanta Dream Forward Britney Grinner fouled out of the WNBA game against Indiana Fever. Interpreted in multiple ways. Some believe she said “f–white girl”, based on reading her lips, but others believe she said “f–ing whack call.” No one is sure exactly what she said, but there is an easy way to find it. Ask Greener.
But no one is doing that. I have an Outkick I contacted the WNBA And, as many times as we have in the Griner’s Management team, we have not received a single response. Still, Griner has been involved in multiple games since the incident. That is, the media simply had enough access to ask questions. But it’s not something that a single “reporter” has.

Want to know why? Because there are no such things as “reporters” or “journalists” in the WNBA. Certainly, there are people who have such titles on their social media BIOS or LinkedIn pages. But they don’t tell the truth. Media members covering the WNBA will not work with journalistic integrity. Instead, they act like PR professionals whose goal is simply to promote the league rather than report the facts. Why is that so? Because the WNBA wants it that way.
Outkick requested the Sparks to be media qualification in the Atlanta Dream Games in Los Angeles on May 27th. Sparks denied our request. Outkick requested media qualification for Connecticut Atlanta Dream Games on Friday night. The sun has denied our demands.
Responding to the Connecticut Sun vs. Atlanta Dream media credential request on Friday, June 6th is unfortunately the reason provided by the Sun.. By very Limited space, priorities are given to those related to outlets that have consistently covered organizations in previous seasons. ”

CT Sun offers pathetic excuses to reject outkick media credentials
Really? Between the 1-6 Connecticut Sun and the Atlanta Dream, is there not enough space for another media member in the regular season game? interesting. Outkick asked the team why they rejected other credentials and why they rejected the certification request if there was a dict from the WNBA saying they would not cover the game. The sun didn’t respond to our questions.
The Taiyo gave Autkick some media qualifications last year. A playoff game featuring Indiana Fever and Kate Linklerkso it is unlikely that their excuses will be near the truth. No, the more likely reason is that the WNBA doesn’t want an out-kick in the game. why? Because we refuse to act like a league-representative PR company. I want to ask a real question. You know, report. But the WNBA doesn’t want that.
So, one “reporter” or “journalist” asked Britney Griner what she said on May 23rd. The league sent out a loud and clear message. Covering the WNBA and how we want you to cover it, or you will not be invited.

What does the WNBA hide?
Companies, organizations and governments that have nothing to hide welcome reporters. Why don’t they do that? Transparency builds trust. And without anything to hide, there’s no reason it’s not transparent. Maybe the WNBA doesn’t hide anything. However, denying media access to major news organizations raises questions about whether it is completely transparent.
Take a look at an example from last season. Christine Brennan, One of the most progressive liberals in sports mediait sparked after simply asking Dijonai Carrington. Caitlyn Clark in his eyes. It was a completely reasonable question and had to be asked. However, the WNBA Players Association issued a statement Ask the League to regain Brennan’s media qualifications. Cover us the way we want, or you haven’t come to our birthday party!
But we’re not going to stop asking just because the WNBA won’t let us in that game. And we certainly are not going to give up our journalistic duties simply because all the other “reporters” who cover the league are willing to do that.
