Dallas Wingsruky feeling Page Booker In a podcast interview on Friday, she addressed comments she made in 2021 about using her platform to “celebrate black women.”
Appearing on the “nilosophy” podcast, Booker was like that When asked about her comments at ESPYS in 2021, she discussed the impact of sports media when she said, “I think we should use this power together to celebrate black women.”
The Bueckers answered the question, expressing their gratitude to the media, claiming that they were “trying to isolate.”

“I’m just… the media is great. It’s their job to make headlines and click and tap people,” Bueckers said. “Rivers are great. It’s going to tell people about our games. They cover our games and pay attention to your games.
“So you have to thank them, but a lot of that is that they’re trying to isolate you, and for me it was so easy to make everything about yourself.
Bueckers added that she also aims to give her trust in God.

“No one does anything on his own, so it spreads and obviously my faith is really important to me. So using my platform to praise God is enormous and then it’s just spreading the light to others.
In May, after Wings first picked the Bueckers in the 2025 WNBA Draft, the Bueckers retold the issue of black women’s coverage in the league.

“Every day I see there’s a white privilege,” she said of the marketing opportunities.
“I feel like I’ve worked very hard, I’m blessed by God. But I think I have more opportunities. I tend to prefer white, white, white women, even just market-wise. I think it should be equal opportunity. I feel like I have privileges to what I have and what every white person has. I recognize that. I want to cancel it in a way that goes into my business. ”
