Criminal defense attorneys knew she was her last name for her court work, but last year she first won fans on social media clips about the rapper’s client.
Tenny was also recognized for comments held at Diddy’s federal trial. She argued that the incident was about “voluntary adult choices.”

Tenny, daughter of criminal defense attorney Mark Jelagos, graduated from Loyola Law School Los Angeles in 2016. Her father is known for representing several well-known clients, including Michael Jackson, Scott Peterson, Colin Kae Pernick, and most recently the Menendez brothers of resentencing.
She then worked with Brahman & Associates for eight years before becoming the founding partner of Agnifilo’s Intrator.

Shortly after Diddy was arrested in New York after a trafficking investigation, Tenney argued that the media was pushing the wrong narrative about the rapper from “Last Night.”
“There are no minors, no celebrity sex tapes. The civil lawsuit here doesn’t promote allegations that we’re defending, but it promotes violence against him in the media,” Tenny said in an episode of “Two Angry Men.”

“I can’t believe what I’m witnessing here,” she said of the public opinion story about Didi. “Many allegations that are not real and baseless.”
In the opening statement of Diddy’s trial, which began on May 5th, Tenny asked the ju judges to consider federal accusations rather than violent human choices.

“Shawn Combs is a complicated guy, but this is not a complicated case,” Tenney told the court. “This case is about love, jealousy, infidelity and money. This case is about voluntary adult choices made by a consensual relationship with a capable adult. This case is about those real relationships, and the government is trying to turn those relationships into assault cases, cases of prostitution and sex trafficking.”

Tenny told the ju judge that he would hear the “basics” through a variety of witnesses and lens of evidence. Most importantly, the ju judge has the opportunity to “finally” hear the facts about the case.
“Shawn Combs is a complicated man, but this is not a complicated case. This case is about love, jealousy, infidelity, money. This case is about voluntary adult choices made through a competent adult-consensual relationship.”
“I say this isn’t because you’ve heard of the news, read the news, or seen it on social media over the past year and a half,” Tenny said. “This case is not about private lawyers looking for payday trying to get rid of my clients. Over the past year, there has been so much noise around this case. It’s time to cancel that noise and hear and see the evidence presented in this court.”

She emphasized that Diddy was “untempered” and sometimes “is angry or jealous enough to make him uncontrollably”, but that the “winning” rapper was not accused of being “despicable.”
“He’s not accused of being a jerk. He’s accused of running an assault company,” Tenny said. “And there was the violence you’re hearing about, but you already have, that violence is not part of RICO. That violence is not related to sex trafficking, and violence is not prostitution.”

On a recent episode of “2 Angry Men,” Harvey Levin and Mark Geragos sat down with prominent lawyer Joe Tacopina to talk about the case. Takopina serves as President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer and is currently representing rapper A $AP Rocky, who has recently won a massive court victory and is found not guilty of criminal assault.
“He’s not accused of being a jerk. He’s accused of running an assault company.”
“Your daughter, by the way, is a great lawyer – Tenny – I was very impressed,” Takopina told the man. “Some people have great lawyer kids and kids who become lawyers, but you know that it’s not the same.”

“I’m sure we’re reading each other’s minds now,” Mark said. “So I appreciate it because I’m a high praise for it.”
“She’s something else, she’s something else. I was very impressed with her,” Takopina continued. “That opening was incredible. The total opening and the cross is my daily bread, that’s what I love, that’s what I studied, what I really completed it, that was as good as I saw it.”

To wrap the episode, Mark reveals that his All-Star daughter is pregnant with his second grandson. “I think it was four months yesterday,” Mark said.
Levin joked. Levin is likely referring to the prosecutor’s “star witness,” Diddy, former member of Cathy Ventura. Ventura testified to the rapper last month.
The federal accusation was sealed on September 17th, Comb has been charged Racketeering Conspiracy (Rico); Sex trafficking by force, fraud, or forced. Transportation for engagement in prostitution. If convicted, he faces a minimum of 15 years behind bars, or the maximum life sentence in prison.

He remains innocent throughout the trial, with witnesses testifying to allegations of rape, sexual assault, severe physical abuse, forced labor and drug trafficking. The trial is scheduled to be rapped by July 4th.
