The White House celebrated President Donald Trump’s first 100 days inauguration on Monday by highlighting his efforts to combat illegal immigration.
Immigration and Customs Executive Secretary Tom Homan joins White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt At an early morning briefing on Monday. The pair touted a significant reduction in border crossings and a new executive order aimed at deportation and further enforcement of borders.
“We are in the process of running the biggest deportation campaign in American history,” Leavitt said. “After four years of slander by the Biden Harris administration, our heroic ice officers can ultimately do their job.”
Homan joined Levitt and accused the Biden administration of “deliberately not protecting the border” despite gaining a very safe border from the first Trump administration.

“Look, I started Border Patrol in 1984. I’ve been involved in this for over 40 years. I started with Ronald Reagan. I’m taking border security seriously because I can’t have border security because I don’t have strong border security.
“Even President Obama and Clinton have been working on border guards to some extent, but Biden said “the first president in the country’s history has taken office and intentionally fails to protect the border.”
He then touted the significant reduction in illegal immigration that Trump had achieved in just a few months.
“When 96% less people come [across the border]How many women have not been sexually assaulted by the cartel? ” Homan said. How many women and children do you have no sex traffic in this country? How many known and suspected terrorists have made it in this country? How many pounds of fentanyl is not entering this country to kill young Americans? ”
The ongoing tide wave of the administration is the largest deportation operation in American history, the pair said. Leavitt added that it was just the beginning and a “sign of what’s going forward.”
Trump administration In early April, 100,000 illegal immigrants were already deported, but authorities did not provide a new total at a briefing on Monday.

Monday’s briefing was the first of several morning press conferences the White House plans to hold this week. Treasury Scott Becent will join her in a similar briefing Tuesday, Leavitt said.

Recent deporters have seen migrants deported to El Salvador’s mega prison after the president called the Alien Enemy Act, the 1798 wartime immigration law to deport Venezuelan gang members. The move was then supported in court with the Trump administration, choosing to deport 17 suspect members of Tren de Lagua from Guantanamo Bay to El Salvador on Sunday night. Via Title 8.
