wendy williams She revealed rare insight into her living conditions at Cotley, a luxury nursing home in New York City’s Hudson Yards. She reportedly lives on one floor there.
Mr. Williams spoke. the cut by phone from her memory care floor. According to the outlet, the memory care floor is locked and she needs permission from both the coterie and her guardian if she wants to leave. She is also not allowed to have a cell phone, but there is a landline in her room that is only used for outgoing calls.
Her friend Max Tucci, owner of Tucci’s, an upscale Italian restaurant in New York, also spoke to the magazine and said that Williams described the restaurant as a “trash.”
“This looks like a place where millionaires send their grandmothers. But,” he said, before turning serious, “she doesn’t need that. Wendy doesn’t lie.”
During a phone interview, Williams asked a reporter who toured the facility: “Did you see people? Elderly people? Why would I want to see that? This is the worst situation. I can’t tell you how many times I asked them to move me off this floor.”

According to the newspaper, Williams has been in a welfare facility since 2023.
Williams has been away from the public eye, but has started making more public appearances in recent months. Last month, Williams was spotted attending New York Fashion Week.
“Did you see the people? Old people? Why would I want to see that?”
“You know I’ve been out before, so of course I’m going to go out,” Williams said of going out. She also said she attends a “megachurch” in Brooklyn.
“It gives me faith and keeps me very connected to God and myself,” Williams said.

Williams initially began his stay on the third floor of the facility, which reportedly has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking 35th Street. The bathrooms are all marble, with underfloor heating and an auxiliary bar.
According to the newspaper, Williams’ friend claimed he went to the facility’s penthouse restaurant and bar on his birthday in July and was “beaten up.” Shortly afterward, Mr. Williams was transferred to the memory room.
Williams told the outlet that a judge allowed her to use an iPad in her 360-square-foot “Memory Floor” studio suite, according to Cotley’s website.

The unit runs for $25,800 per month, according to the facility’s website.
In addition to paying for the unit, Williams’ estate is paying his conservatorship’s legal fees, paying the costs of his conservator, Sabrina Morrissey, and her legal fees, who pay him $10,000 a month in alimony, according to The Cut.

The Cut noted that lawyers appeared in court this year and were concerned about Williams’ finances. In 2024, Morrissey sold Williams’ 2,400 square foot apartment, reportedly at a loss. They also noted that at one point Morrissey adopted two cats.
Williams told the outlet that she uses her iPad to listen to old radio shows and keep up with the latest news about herself.
The Cut described memory care units in a dark way. According to the store, the floor smelled like Febreze. There are no locks on the apartment doors, and there are no stoves or refrigerators to keep residents safe. There is a gym on this floor, and reporters found Williams training there. She was wearing a black top and leggings, her usual blonde wig, and was on a treadmill overlooking the city.
“She seemed fine,” the reporter noted.

The Cut addressed Williams’ bombshell lawsuit Ex-husband Kevin Hunter It was filed on her behalf in June.
Hunter argued that Williams was competent and that the judge who handled the case was “perverse,” the newspaper said.
Hunter called the conservatorship an “unjust bondage” and called for the removal of Williams’ guardian, Sabrina Morrissey. The newspaper noted that Hunter received $37,500 a month in alimony from Williams over the years, according to sealed court documents.

He is said to have not collected the money since shortly before guardianship proceedings began. Notably, the suit asked for $250 million in damages to be split 50-50 between him and Williams.
October 9th, TMZ A judge has ruled to dismiss Hunter’s lawsuit. The paper noted that there is room for Hunter to refile an amended complaint on his behalf.

Williams filed for divorce from Hunter in 2019 after learning that Hunter had another child. They have been married for 21 years and have one son, Kevin Hunter Jr., 25.

The Cut was able to call Williams’ son, who explained that he tries to stay out of any drama involving his mother.
“I’m not going to get too wrapped up in this. I’m trying to step away from everything right now and forge and carve my own path. I just want her to get out of this situation, because it’s not right,” he told the outlet.
The Cut reported that new medical reports could be released in the coming weeks or months.
The judge overseeing the case could rule that the conservatorship should be reaffirmed, loosened, replaced, or removed altogether. Officials told the media that it was unlikely that the conservatorship would be lifted.
