
Toronto Blue Jays and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. According to multiple reports, they agreed to a 14-year contract extension, worth $500 million, early on Monday.

Guerrero was scheduled to become a free agent after the 2025 season ended. Slugging’s baseman reportedly chose to remain in the team that joined the amateur free agent in 2015, although there were many suitors in the open market.

Vladimir Guerrero, the son of the baseball hall of fame, broke into the majors during the 2019 season. He led Homer’s major in 2021 at 48. It was the first time he was an All-Star.
Since then, Guerrero has created an All-Star team every season.
The first baseman hit .323 with .940 and 30 home runs in 2024. However, his postseason numbers were far from what Toronto needed to return to World Series competition.
Guerrero is 22-3 in the postseason. He has a batting average of 0.136 without Homer.
Toronto seemed to have Guerrero locked up in the near future. Toront Will Start a pushback to the World Series. The team has not won consecutive titles during the 1992 and 1993 seasons.
