The mastermind and seven other robbers involved in stealing $6 million worth of jewelry Kim Kardashian He was found guilty in his Paris hotel room on October 3, 2016.

On Friday, a court in the French capital acquitted two of the 10 defendants. The sentences read out by the court president ranged from prison conditions to fines.
Aomar Aït Khedache, 69, the mastermind, was sentenced to eight years in prison. Five of such years were suspended. The other three people accused of the most serious charges have now become seven years. Five of such years were suspended.
No one convicted of spending time in pretrial detention will go to prison. The trial was heard by three judges and six ju judges.
Judge David De Pas found that the accused’s age (the oldest age is 79, with others in their 60s and 70s) had hampered the court’s decision not to impose a stricter sentence than sending them to prison. He said nine years between the robbery and the trial were also considered in the sentence.
“Kim thanked the court for the decision and once again thanked the French authorities for treating her with great respect throughout the process,” Kardashian’s legal team shared in a statement with Fox News Digital.
“It has been a long journey since the terrible night of 2016, standing bravely to bravely confront these criminals in historic Paris courts, and I look forward to putting this tragic episode behind her.

“She saw him when she came, she heard the letter he wrote to her, and then she forgived him,” lawyer Frank Burton told The Associated Press.
Kardashian was not in court on Friday, but the founder of Skims had his eyes closed to Khedache in testimony on Tuesday.

“I appreciate the letter, I will forgive you,” she said. “But it doesn’t change the emotions, the trauma and the fact that my life has changed forever.”
On Friday, Khedache sought “thousand pardons” via written memo In court. Other defendants also used final words to express their regret.
