
president Donald Trump’s Longtime New Jersey U.S. attorney and appointee announced Thursday that he would begin an investigation into Gov. Phil Murphy and Attorney General Matt Platkin on reports that state police were asked to ignore new immigration warrants.
Alina Habba said in “Hannity” that she decided to launch the probe Coast News Network An internal memo from New Jersey State Police (NJSP) Colonel Patrick Callahan reported that Murphy and Platkin ordered that they have not pursued the thousands of immigration warrants that have recently been added to the National Crime Information Center.
The move reportedly was intended to coincide with the 2018 “Immigration Trust Order” of former Attorney General Gurbir Growal.
“We know that the governor on his website currently has DOS and DOS for local law enforcement agencies. These DOS and DOS are directing not to cooperate with illegal immigrants who have administrative warrants issued by the court after legitimate proceedings,” Habba says.

“We are instructing them to go against our federal rules, our executive orders.”
She said that if a new investigation into Murphy and Platkin interferes with the FBI, DEA, or other federal law enforcement, they should warn all other state leaders that they will be accountable.
“[W]E is to take all criminals, violent criminals, criminals from this country and fully enforce federal law. And anyone who gets in the way of what we’re doing is not political, but simply opposes crime – New Jersey For interference, for concealment, and I will come violently after them. ”
Haba, whose office is based in Newark, said he met with state law enforcement on Thursday, saying he doesn’t have the same authority as federal officials, but they still can legally notify U.S. immigrants and customs enforcement agencies to hand over or warn them of immigration-related investigations.

“If someone uses politics or its position to violate federal law or executive orders in this state and includes a city of sanctuary, if you are looking at you in Paterson, I will investigate you. If you commit a crime, if you order obstruction, if you are cover-up and embrace, you will be charged.”
