According to the book, Trump told the donor he issued a harsh warning. Putin about potential invasions. He further said that if Chinese leaders invaded Taiwan, they issued similar warnings to Chinese President Xi Jinping.
“I was with Putin and said, ‘Vladimir, if you do that, we’re going to bomb from Moscow,'” Trump revealed he shared with CNN, according to the audio recording. “‘When I enter Taiwan, I’m going to bomb the s from Beijing.” He thought I was crazy… he didn’t believe me.

In response, the White House said Russia invaded only Ukraine in February 2022 – after Trump’s first term.
“As President Trump has said many times, Russia never invaded Ukraine when he took office. That only happened when Biden took office,” White House spokesman Anna Kelly said in a statement Wednesday. “Thanks to this president’s leadership, America will once again be the leader of the free world, and peace through strength will be restored.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital confirming the reliability of the audio.

This book, “2024,” is one of several released in 2025 detailing how Trump secured victory in the 2024 election and how Biden’s mental vision deteriorated. Written by Josh Dorsey of the Wall Street Journal, Tyler Pager of the New York Times, and Isaac Earnsdorf of the Washington Post.
The author did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Fox News Digital.

Trump recently expressed his dissatisfaction with Putin as he is trying to end the war between Russia and Ukraine. On Tuesday, Trump said at a cabinet meeting that he was tired of Putin and saw the possibility of imposing new sanctions on Russia.
“We get a lot of bulls — we’ve been thrown into us by Putin. If you want to know the truth, he’s always so good, but it turns out to be pointless,” Trump said Tuesday.
