
A federal judge blocked the Trump administration on Monday Rescising legal status Work permits for more than 530,000 immigrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela flew to the United States when former President Joe Biden took office.
The immigrants came to the United States under Biden’s controversial and controversial CHNV Popular Humanitarian Parole Program.
On her order, Obama appointee Judge Indira Talwani wrote that each immigrant must have a separate, case-by-case review.

Biden created the CHNV program through his enforcement parole authorities in 2023. The program was launched in 2022 and was first applied before Venezuelans expanded to additional countries.
The Biden administration argued that CHNV could help reduce it Illegal crossing It allows for better screening of people entering the country amidst an influx of immigrants at the southern border.

The program was temporarily suspended after widespread fraud was discovered. Several recipients have been arrested for famous crimes involving multiple child rapes.
CHNV has allowed immigrants and their near-kinds to jump into the US if they have American sponsors. They were then able to remain in the country for two years under a temporary immigration status known as parole.

In March, approximately 532,000 immigrants under the CHNV program were told to leave the United States before humanitarian parole, and the accompanying work permit was cancelled on April 24, giving them a month since the notification was officially made public on March 25.
