Toyota says the facility will have 14 production lines and will make batteries to power the Camry HEV, Corolla Cross HEV, RAV4 HEV, and all-electric three-row battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
Additional production lines are expected to be operational by 2030.
Beyond manufacturing, Toyota said the facility will also be a “vibrant community” offering childcare services, a medical clinic, a pharmacy and a fitness center for employees.
