When European cities are working on overtourism, many are taxing tourists to keep crowds of visitors down.
Norway is the latest European countries To implement tourism taxes, certain cities will be able to implement a 3% tax for overnight stays in “particularly tourism-affected areas,” Euronows reported.
Authorities passed taxes last Thursday, allowing them to adjust tax rates based on the season.
