Matthew Tokachuk It’s not a stranger to fight on the main stage.
Undoubtedly the biggest hockey game for many years, Tkachuk is a member of Team USA Showdown of the four countriesdropped gloves against Team Canada in the opening showdown.
Late on Monday night he found himself in yet another Blouhaha. This involves almost everyone on the ice for the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers.

When Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final was out of control (the Panthers beat Edmonton 6-1 to take a 2-1 series lead), things became chippy and the Panthers knew it was likely to get worse.
Tkachuk, who had previously fallen into a similar situation, saw him writing on the wall and wanted his team to be prepared.

At one point, Tkachuk broke a punch in the face of Jake Walman.
The game was already 5-1 in favor of Florida when things got more aggressive on the ice. It reached another level, to the point where Edmonton forward Trent Federic lit Sam Bennett (who fought Tokachuk’s brother in that 4 Nations game) and retaliated with a punch when Bennett reached Federic.

That first battle led all players on the ice to find a partner to duel, and the referee simply had him play a brawl. The Oilers’ Darnell nurse and Panthers’ Jonah Gajovic were clutching each other’s sweaters and throwing the Haymaker.
After the fight took place, the nurses, Godjovic, Bennett, Federic, Grier and Ekholm were all asked to cheate in the game and sent ice for the rest of the game.

There were more penalties as the clock was ticking through the brinks, and at that point both teams wanted no one to get hurt by much of the series playing. Even at the final buzzer, Oilers star Corey Perry began rocking with multiple Panthers players as fans began throwing debris on the ice.
It was truly a statement victory for the incumbent champion who has all sorts of momentum heading into Game 4 on Thursday night.
