Nicholas Cage I recently had a near-death experience.
While filming his latest role in “Surfer,” the 61-year-old actor revealed that he was “slapped by the blacksmith.” Practice his surfing skills: The stunt could have killed him, he said.
“I surfed, and every time I tried to surf, I was hit by the blacksmith,” said Cage, who plays a businessman returning to Australia in the hopes of buying a beach house from his childhood. Entertainment Weekly. “I surfed at Sunset Beach. As I was about to learn, the teacher gave me a short board and said, ‘Look, I want a long board.’ ”

“I was just pounded, literally stuck in a rift, and they said they saw my board, they call it a ‘tombstone’ like that triangle,” he continued, explaining the situation where the tip of his board protruded out of the water.
“I’m paralyzed, so I’m climbing the string. I might die,” he continued. “I have a young child now. I don’t know if I want to do it anymore.”

“Like in the ‘dream scenario’, I would have wanted to leave it at high notes. But I have other contracts that I have to meet, so we will see what happens,” he continued. “I’m going to be very strict and very serious. [stringent] About the selection process that moves forward. But I would like to explore other formats in order to make another film. ”
