Heaton and Hunt spoke with Fox News Digital about the balance of marriage and the challenges that come with working together at times.

“It was very interesting, but it didn’t work as a script,” Hunt explained. “And we were reading at our home with an actor in Los Angeles, which kind of died, and we looked at the writers we had worked with for a while.

“He said, ‘Yeah, it poured out from me,’ he said, ‘I never told you this’ – and we had worked with him for several years – “My daughters were both adopted.” And at that moment, “Yeah, yeah, we really hit the nerves here, so this is a problem that’s not spoken well,” Hunt explained. “And we had a lot of friends who had struggled with the same problem for many years and had the very painful experiences they had, and that was kind of origin.”

Heaton said of the film’s release:
Heaton explained that they were forced to shoot “unexpected” after it almost ended when the pandemic hit in 2020.
“We had to shoot this film twice because the first shoot happened, the first shoot happened and the pandemic closed us five days before we ended,” she said. “We only had five days left, we had to do everything over, we had to do all sorts of crazy things.

Hunt said the audience wanted the audience to take from the film, “Anything is possible if your mind is in the right place.”
