Conor McDavid is undoubtedly the brightest star NHL.
Edmonton Oilers The captain is a four-time NHL All-Star.
He was also a prolific scorer and won five Art Rostrophes as a leading player in the NHL in regular season points.
McDavid also shares similarities with hockey legend Wayne Gretzky. McDavid and Gretzky are the only two players to be nominated for the NHL MVP in a unanimous vote. Gretzky is often referred to as “the great thing,” but he believes McDavid is the biggest active NHL player.

“He’s definitely the best player in hockey,” Gretzky said during an ESPN guest appearance. “Pat McCuffy Show.”
“A selfish young man. He loves playing for Edmonton and is captain of the Oilers. He desperately wants the Stanley Cup.
For the second year in a row, the Oilers and Florida Panthers will be held in the Stanley Cup final. McDavid and The Oilers won Game 1 of the series on Wednesday night.

Gretzky, who works as an NHL analyst for TNT Broadcast, predicted how McDavid’s assist set up teammate Mattias Ekholm to create what became the goal for the game tying in the third term of Wednesday’s game against the Panthers.
“They’re suffocating them. They’re playing really smart. They’re playing Rick Totchet’s defense. They have it in the middle.” Gretzky said On my second break. “They gave them the outside, and Connor has to take it around the net or stop and smash it on the dead man.

Gretzky then admitted that his prediction was “luck” before praising McDavid.
“He’s the best player in the world,” Gretzky said. “He knows what he’s doing. I’m lucky with that statement.”
Game 2 is scheduled for Friday at Rogers Place in Edmonton. The series moves to South Florida for games 3 and 4.
