Cast of the iconic 1980s film “The Breakfast Club” – Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy, Judd Nelson, Anthony Michael Hall, Emilio Estevez – We met again for the first time in 40 years at a pop culture event in Chicago.
On Saturday, the former cast members take the stage at C2E2 and recall reminiscing about their experiences Classic Adult Moviesfive students from different high schools bond as they serve together in Saturday’s detention.

The rest of the cast have been reunited in the past, but this was the first time Estevez has joined them.
“He’s here, so you don’t need to use cardboard cutouts anymore,” Ringwald added. “We all feel really touched to be with them.”
Estevez, who played star athlete Andrew Clark, admitted that attending the reunion was “finally feeling that she needed to do it just for herself.”

“It felt special. We made a film here in Chicago,” he said. “It was clearly 40 years old and it felt like the time was here. Someone said Molly said, ‘Well, Emilio isn’t like us?” And it broke my heart. And it makes sense, so here we are. ”
At one point on the panel, Nelson, who played Delinquent John Bender, said he didn’t think it would take so long for everyone to reunite. But this time he, Estevez and Ringwald, were with Hall, who played the socially nasty Brian Johnson, and with Sheedy, who starred as the shy Allison Reynolds.

“I always felt in a strange way that half the work was going to be back together at some point, because everyone had too many questions, ‘What will happen on Monday?’ The film is about the fact that everyone has to make that decision for themselves [about] What will happen on Monday? But personally, I felt that it was one shoe and I needed a second shoe. It could only come from John,” Nelson said, referring to the film’s late writer and director, John Hughes.

“So his passing was profound to me, because it’s like a circle of work that always leaned in one direction,” he added. “What we needed was to offset that, because Hughes explained us the difference to us, both old and young, so now is the time to show us where we will finally meet.
