A 16-year-old swimmer has himself 2028 Los Angeles Olympics Radar shattered records at the 2025 US Swimming Championships previously held by Michael Phelps.
Every time the Phelps name appears in the pool, we know it’s an amazing feat considering the American 28 Olympic medals (23 gold), the highest record ever.
However, Luka Mijatovic snatched the record from Phelps after posting a 200-meter freestyle time of 1:45.92.

Phelps swam it at 1:45.99, but Mijatovic beat him on his final lap.
Return of the Summer Olympics Los Angeles Though it’s only three years away, Mijatovic is certainly someone to watch after his performance.

Mijatovic first finished in both a 500-yard freestyle and a 200-yard freestyle at the Scholastic Federation State State Championships between California in May, and has been building himself up to this moment.

He is one of the top-ranked high school swimmers and is currently the first to rank in California.
The high school students were surrounded by Olympic athletes who already appeared in the swimming championships that began Tuesday.
Already winning the men’s 1500m freestyle for the event, Bobby Finke, Tori Hasuke and the skilled Katie Ledecky were among the people competing in Indianapolis.

These championships are intended for swimmers to win the spots at the World Championships in Singapore in July and August.
