Teddi Mellencamp She revealed a positive update on her stage 4 cancer fight, saying she showed a decrease in the size of her brain and lung tumors in a recent scan.
Mellencamp, 43, held back tears Wednesday as he shared the latest updates with millions of followers on social media.
“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star He was hospitalized earlier this year with multiple brain tumors. During the procedure to remove the mass, doctors discovered two additional tumors in the lungs.

“I’ve just finished all the scans and the tumor has shrunk significantly. My doctors think this will all work and mean I’ll come back to myself and feel better,” Mellencamp said.
“There are two more immunotherapy sessions, and hopefully it’s done. No cancer. ”

She said, “Because I’m the way my doctor spoke to me.
Mellencamp wrote in her Instagram story, “All tumors (metastatic melanoma in my brain and lungs) have shrinked or disappeared, so I have another six weeks of immunotherapy and the doctor believes that if everything stays on the course it will be healed.”

The reality star revealed earlier this month that the average life expectancy rate for cancer patients has been on the mind while receiving immunotherapy for treatment.
“I learned this isn’t the best question to ask if you’re doing immunotherapy. Immunotherapy has only been around 10 years,” she said in an interview. “Nightline.”

She was initially upset to hear that immunotherapy had a success rate of “50/50”.

“It’s one of my favorite things, and they often say 50/50,” she said. Mellencamp remembered saying, “50/50? You’re probably going to buy a car that only drives 50% of the time. I don’t want this.”

She said, “And [the doctor’s] “No, that’s just because immunotherapy has been around for so long. So I’m trying to find a positive.”

Finding positivity was sometimes a challenge.
“I really want to control it, but this is completely out of my control. And for the first time, I’m really scared,” Mellencamp said.
The podcast host shares her three children with her estranged husband, Edwin Aloeuve-Slate, 12 others. Cruz, 10; and pigeons, 5.
