ESPN first reported the move.
“Competing at the highest level remains our goal and we have not been able to meet the expectations of this season. Fans deserve better. We need to change,” the team said.

Phoenix made a big move in their final few seasons to try to return to NBA Championship photos. It started with the acquisition of Kevin Durant The Bradley Beer trade from Brooklyn Net followed by the Washington Wizard.
Durant finished his second full season with the Suns and Beale closing their second season with Phoenix. The Suns were 36-46, missing the playoffs for the first time in four seasons.

Budenholzer came from Milwaukee Bucks After his shocking departure. He coached the Bucks to win an NBA title victory to The Suns.
Phoenix entered an offseason filled with uncertainty and their wise moves ultimately backfired. The Suns’ first round pick was traded for the Houston Rockets. The Houston Rockets have the opportunity to choose the lottery despite being one of the best teams at the Western Conference.

The Suns have not won a conference championship since 2021. They let go of three coaches in three years.
