New murals are causing controversy around the world.
The “Silent Protest of the Statue of Liberty” was painted by Dutch artist Judith de Rouu on the brick wall of the Lueu de Kemin de Fah’s building in Roubeks, France. (See the video at the top of this article.)
The painting was released on July 3rd. independence day.

“The value that once stood for the image of freedom, hope, the right to be yourself — lost to many,” De Luu said, according to EuroNews.
“There’s something big about Rubex. Immigrant populationand many of them live in very difficult situations,” she said. She mentioned cities in northern France.

The painting depicts the Statue of Liberty. Her crown has nine spikes. There are only seven in the actual statue.
Reports say the murals were deliberately placed in cities known for their immigration heights.
According to the French Institute of Statistical Statistics, approximately 22.3% of Roubaix’s population was made up of immigrants in 2021.

De Leeuw shared that he was nervous that the message would be debate, but said that locals accepted the message given the harsh reality of French immigration.
In 2022, 69% of violent robberies and other violent crimes, including sexual assault on public transport in the large Paris region, were committed by foreigners, according to annual figures from the French Ministry of Interior Statistics Bureau.

French President Emmanuel Macron said at the time: “If you look at crimes in Paris today, you don’t know that at least half of the crimes come from people who are illegal immigrants or aliens awaiting a residence permit.”
He also said, “In any case, they are in very sensitive situations and often come in through these. [illegal immigration] channel. ”
The mural comes in response to a doubling of US Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) on US immigration law enforcement and deportation Illegal immigrants.

The videos posted by the artist have accumulated thousands of responses on social media platforms and have gone viral.
“This exquisite and heartbreaking art expresses how I feel as a U.S. citizen,” commented one woman.
Another wrote, “Thank you for this. Sign up and I’m heartbroken in the US.”

“Your open border policy has ruined Paris. We will fix yourself before you judge us,” commented one user.
Another wrote, “Thank you for meeting us and sharing this sadness and shame with the world.”
Another individual said: “France: Where they imprison their political enemies.”

R-Tenn. Rep. Tim Burchett, of the group, has also been heavily on social media.
“This hates me. If there is, I should be kissing us. [a–]France. My uncle Roy fights and dies and is buried there for their freedom,” the lawmaker posted to X.

Another X user said, “I agree Mural. ”
“I think we have to release them again,” the X user joked.
“Well, of course, France will try to shame America for having borders and immigration laws,” one person wrote. “They are part of the EU that likes to shame all countries that don’t want large-scale immigration.”
