Exclusive: New York City Republican mayoral candidate Curtis Swawa has denounced the incumbent, denounced the door to talk of him dropping out of the race. Eric Adams The rise of socialist Zoran Mamdani.
Notable donors are looking for ways to drop out of the race to open Sliwa for a GOP nomination. New York Post Report. Former Governor Andrew Cuomo, who lost the Democratic primary to Mamdani last week, could also take part in the tickets in November.
But Sriwa, a lifelong New Yorker and founder of the Guardian Angels Crime Prevention Group, insisted to Fox News Digital that he was the man of his job. He also spoke about his broken relationship with President Donald Trump, saying that he would welcome his support if it came.

He says the city needs fighters and he is already putting his life at risk to make the city safer, and has the wounds of the fight to prove it. The 71-year-old, born in Brooklyn, survived a mob hit in 1992 and was shot twice in a moving taxi before jumping out the window.
“The only way to get out of this race before November 4th is to be in a pine box,” he said. “And people know that Gottis and Gambinos tried it in 1992, but it didn’t work, and this doesn’t work either. Get ready to watch Curtis Sliwa Republican Line November 4th. ”
Swawa has been leading the Guardian Angels since 1979 and said that what separates him from the field is simple. He takes the subway, talks with people, and knows his neighbours with all his might.
“I am the only real tested, true New Yorker. Andrew Cuomo has not lived in the city since 1990. Mamdani goes back and forth to Uganda. Eric Adams lives in Fort Lee,” Swawa said at an excavation in Adams, who owns a New Jersey property. “Like the subways we go, so are New York City. That’s our veins and arteries. None of these others are in the system. I live there.”
Politicians consider Three’s election bids a long shot. He ran for Adams in the 2021 election, losing 66.1% to 27.4%. However, if the votes for the left and center split, the chip could eventually fall onto Sriwa’s path. Cuomo Suck out democratic votes with independent orchids.

“Oh, I don’t care how many candidates there are in the race. Look, we won’t be in this situation, people wouldn’t even know who Zohan Mamdani is if Eric Adams was a fairly successful Democratic mayor… Republicans don’t trust him, Democrats don’t want him… he’s corrupt.”
Adams’ tenure was undermined by federal corruption accusations filed under the Biden administration, including accusations of wire fraud and soliciting campaign contributions from foreigners. Adams denied the charges and was later withdrawn by the Trump administration.
Adams spokesman Kayla Mamelak Altas blasted the characterization of the mayor of Sliwa, saying that Fox News’ digital swawah “is being separated from reality every day and he should not take it seriously.”
In the interview, Sliwa also targeted Mamdani’s socialist policy. This includes citywide rent freezes, free public bus services and higher property taxes on wealthy areas.
“Go to Chicago and see the consequences of what a socialist mayor can’t do for you,” Swa said. “There are many promises, but no delivery.” Mamdani’s campaign did not respond to requests for comment.
Sliwa said his campaign focuses on public safety and housing affordability, taking advantage of dissatisfied voters who embraced the slogan “improvement, movement” and attempted to take part in the departure of people who have fled the city in recent years.
He also believes his killing-free policy on city animal shelters will bring moderate Democrats, women voters, younger generations and animal advocates who may not support Republican candidates in general. Swawa is known for its deep love for cats, and often emphasizes its dedication to being confused and caring.
Swawa scoffed at the notion that Mamdani’s social media influence could be a critical factor, claiming that races will win by connecting with people on earth. Lawmakers have nearly 2 million followers on Instagram compared to Sliwa’s 66,000, while socialist candidates have over 910,000 followers on Tiktok compared to Sliwa’s 183,000.

“I already know how to appeal to young people,” Swawa said. “My baby boomers talk about Gen Z as if they’re lazy or stupid… They couldn’t be any more wrong. It just pushed them into the mamdani camp.”
Trump’s support could also change momentum with Swawa’s favor. He called his relationship with the president “love and hatred,” but suggests Trump’s rally at the Bronx and Madison Square Garden last year will change political tides in the city last year.
“I won’t talk President Trump By phone. I’ve never been to Marlago or to Washington,” Swawa said. See, he saved him from going to prison, I understand that. In the last election, I voted for him and encouraged people to vote for him. ”
But Three said he is open to getting Trump’s support, even if the race is not on the president’s radar.
“Well, if it comes, it’s fine. If it doesn’t come, remember that I last ran, I wasn’t supported by President Trump,” Swawa said. “[Trump] He didn’t support Eric Adams. He basically left the race. He has enough problems to deal with – Ukraine, Russia, Iran, clearly his beautiful bill, and everything else he has on his plate, geopolitical importance. Who will be the next mayor of New York City?

Previous Sliwa’s campaign lacked a lot of visibility, partly given to him, partly given to him, who hadn’t won a GOP nomination. However, he said the victory would unlock key matching funds that turbocharge his campaign in the general election.
