Shiro Sanders is not as popular as his younger brother, Chedur. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Rookie Mini Camp.
But as long as he continues to impress his new coach, that doesn’t matter.
The Shilo Sanders signed with Buccaneers, a team that needs secondary support to enter the 2025 season, hoping to be able to crack a roster of 53. It’s the first week. And while training camp is still a few months away, he’s doing a good job making a good first impression on head coach Todd Bowles.

“Like any safety, he’s very smart, he’s very loud,” Bowles said. “You can hear him (on the field) and you can make the phone and everything, so he has a good grasp of the first day. There were three or four of them.
Sanders also knows how a good impression of the media can work in his favor. After the introduction was completed, he discussed the opportunity.

“Men, look where we are,” he said. “Look at the entire coaching staff. It’s a really supportive coaching staff. Everyone wants to do good things. Everyone on the team wants to see each other wins. It’s a great environment to thrive.”
Sanders has also impressed his new teammates, including three-round pick Jacob Parish.
“He’s very smart,” he said. “He helped me a lot with the adjustments. I’m excited to work with him.”

A member of the Secondary, Sanders has been constantly compared to his Hall of Fame father. Dion Sandersit’s just natural. However, the 25-year-old simply wants to work and thank the Buccaneers for the opportunity to show he can help this season.
“They gave me the chance before someone, so I’m forever grateful to the Buccaneers, and I’m going to do everything in my power to help this team win,” he said. “That’s everything I want.”
Antoine Winfield Jr. is a Pro Bowl veteran on Bowls’ defense, so free safety is the only place for Sanders. However, every good secondary requires depth, and these players are also an important part of a special team.
Sanders believes he can separate himself from the pack by showing that he can force a turnover.

“Throughout my entire career, I have always been a guy who has shape and shape the ball in any way,” he said. “Forcing fumbles, picks, I’m going to get the ball. That’s the point where we play defense. We want to get the ball offense.”
