Shakira We cancelled Saturday’s concert in Washington, DC. This year’s sixth cancellation.
The popular Columbian singer was scheduled to perform at Nationals Park this weekend, but with her Thursday show cancellation in Boston at Fenway Park, it appears that she and her team could not be able to participate in the show.
Capital Pride Alliance, an organization that compiles the events, statement On social media, “Like Shakira fans and friends and family from around the world who attended DC this weekend, I’m extremely disappointed that the unexpected situation has forced me to cancel both concerts in Boston this week and both concerts. [Saturday]Concert at Nationals Park. ”

The organization also shared another statement given to those who purchased tickets for the event.
“Due to complications from previous shows in Boston, Shakira’s full tour production cannot be carried out to Washington DC The statement was read in time for the scheduled performance at Nationals Park on Saturday, May 31st. “As a result, the DC show was cancelled. Despite all efforts to make it happen, we can’t move forward as planned.”
Shakira shared her message with her Instagram followers, writing, “There’s nothing more painful for an artist than canceling two sold-out stadium shows, such as Boston and DC, for reasons beyond control.”
“I’m grateful that I’m there in a good time and not that good,” she continued. “We cruised together through every bump on the road. You always take me to the other side. LosQuieroCon Todo.”

After the cancellation of Saturday’s show in Washington, DC, social media users began discussing what appears to be a trend in the tour’s development.
“This is rude to her fans… it’s always last minute,” one wrote on X on her previous Twitter account.

Another said, “I love Shakira’s death, but I can’t accept the excuse. No matter how many technical issues they bring, this is her fault. Cancelling your concert on the day of the show is just unacceptable.

“You can understand one or two shows, but six are ridiculous!” Another post read. “You either get a grasp of it before or get a normal stage that doesn’t extend to the floor, because that seems to be the problem here.”
Others were angry at the news. “I can’t believe this! Hmm! This show. ”
Another insisted, “All I know is that if things are up to her, I’ll never cancel or reschedule.”
