First on FOX: Maryland Democratic Sen. Chris Van Hollen has widely rebuked for his sudden trip to El Salvador, while he wants to reclaim deported Salvador Kilmer Abrego Garcia.
Garcia is currently in jail in a Central American country. President Naive Bukere has shown that it was “authorising” to try to send him back to the United States.
Van Hollen made waves Wednesday morning. I posted a selfie video He flew to San Salvador, called for his “mission” goals, informing the governments of both countries that they would not stop the fight until Garcia returned to Maryland.
Rep. Andy Harris, the sole Republican of the old Rhine delegation, denounced Van Hollen and contrasted the situation. Rachel Morin – The murder by illegal immigrants was found guilty on Monday at Bel Air.
Bondi Defiant, Abrego Garcia says he will stay with El Salvador: “The End of the Story”
“The most impressive … double standard is that my constituent Rachel Morin was brutally murdered by an illegal foreigner in El Salvador,” Harris said.
“And while Chris Van Hollen hasn’t spent much time on the matter, he’s illegally entering El Salvadoranian citizens and taking back El Salvadoranian citizens to the United States, where the immigration court finds evidence that they are members of the MS-13 gang.”
Van Hollen issued a print statement after Morin’s murderer was convicted, thanking law enforcement and saying he wanted “meaningful actions” to reform “our broken immigration system.”
“We can do this, but we support the immigrant community and respect the rights of the individuals who are legally here. I am committed to doing both. I will continue to push my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to move forward with this,” Van Hollen said.
White House Communications Director Stephen Chong “He showed more concern and sympathy for the illegal MS-13 gang members than the victims of a terrible immigration crime,” laughs Van Hollen.
Van Hollen previously had a complicated voting record on the issue of illegal immigration.
He voted against the Lakeken Riley Act in January, and publicly opposed the first Trump administration in 2017 to deport two Salvadoran men, an academic football star.
“I am ashamed that President Trump has torn hardworking immigrant families apart. We should focus on the MS-13, not the scholarship winner,” he said.
Harris also said efforts to “repatriate” Garcia to Maryland were effectively false.
“This gentleman has already been deported – back to El Salvador, the country of his citizenship. That’s where he belongs.”
“Rachel Morin, In fact, she was a Maryland woman. This gentleman is not a Maryland man,” he said. He references how Garcia is described in the media.

Harris also lamented the consumption of taxpayer funds for a trip “to take foreign citizens who have returned illegally to the United States.”
R-Ga. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene took the criticism a step further, suggesting that Van Hollen would “flam on treason,” and that Garcia might already be saying that it is “a home in El Salvador.”
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) also cited Morin’s murder in revenge on Van Hollen, claiming it had done more to “return MS-13 gang members, traffickers and illegal aliens back to Maryland” than defending victims of gang violence.

Van Hollen’s stance has accepted one prominent Maryland defender, and Gov. Wes Moore told Fox News Digital, “We can simultaneously make pro-public safety and the constitution a constitution.”
“We support Sen. Chris Van Hollen’s efforts to check health and safety and bring emotional security to Kilmer’s family in Maryland. His wife, his five-year-old child and his two stepchildren, all of them.”
“Despite the unanimous Supreme Court ruling, Trump has refused to return Kilmer, and now he’s even threatening to expel American citizens to El Salvador.”
Fox News Digital reached out to Van Hollen for comment but received no response.
