Sean “Diddy” comb A few weeks before his sex trafficking trial, he added well-known criminal defense attorney Brian Steele to his team.
Steele filed a notice on April 15 that he was taking part in the defense of the music mogul, weeks before the rapper first appeared before a potential ju umpire on May 5th.
Diddy was charged Assault conspiracy. Sex trafficking by force, fraud, or forced. and transport engaged in prostitution on September 17th under an unsealed federal complaint. Diddy kept his innocence. If convicted, he faces a minimum of 15 years behind bars, or the maximum life sentence in prison.

Atlanta-based lawyer added Diddy’s team April 15th.
He joined Mark Agnifilo, Tenny Gelagos, Alexandra AE Shapiro, Anna Estebao, Jason Driscoll, Xavier Donaldson and Nicole Westmoreland.
Steel is one last minute addition to the team. Donaldson was added on May 2nd, and Westmoreland was added on May 7th.
Celebrity lawyer Mark Jelagos will support Combs’ legal team in informal roles through trials, sources told Fox News Digital.

Legal Heavyweight began his career as a tax lawyer
Steele began his career as a tax lawyer at Pricewaterhouse after graduating from Fordham Law School.
He has appeared in court in many states other than Georgia, including California, Florida, Missouri, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan, New Jersey, Oregon, and now New York.
His client’s alleged crimes ranged from RICO, wire fraud, immigration fraud, and money laundering to murder, armed robbery, drug crimes, rape and child sex crimes.

Steel may have caught the eye of the comb after defense Young thugs from YSL trials.
Young Thug was charged in 2022 under the Georgia Assaulter Impact and Corrupt Organization Act (RICO).
“Brian is a legend especially after YSL,” said Douglas Weinstein, who represented one of Young Thug’s co-defendants. The RICO trial lasted nearly two years. Steel was ready to protect the rapper until the end, Young thug I chose to accept a plea agreement in October 2024. He was sentenced to time and 15 years of probation.
But he has some regrets: “I should have listened to you,” he told Steel in an interview with the New Yorker.
“The global tour and money that’s been thrown into him now,” Steele explained. “It used to be good. Now it’s the next level. People understand what he did. In my opinion, he revealed the truth that the criminal justice system is broken.”
Following the conclusion of the trial of a young thug, Steele became somewhat of a celebrity himself. He posed for a photo shoot for a clothing label of a young thug, sp5der, And rapper Drake put on the song after him.
“Yeah, shout Brian Steel, take off the cuffs,” Drake slams the song, but it seems to be about freedom, not specifically about lawyers. “We’ve just left.”

Brian Steele’s approach involves believing in the innocence of a client
Lawyers have spent 30 years defending people accused of criminal conduct.
“The more challenging the case, the more likely I’ll take it,” Steele told the New Yorker. “Do I like the people I protect? That’s the main thing.”
When asked if he had chosen to represent the late Jeffrey Epstein in a sex trafficking trial, he told the outlet, “I have to understand all the facts and circumstances better.”
“Look, I don’t believe the allegations,” he explained. “I enter it, believing that the person is innocent.”
