“We are sensitive to the privacy needs of all middle school students and ensure that there is no need to change to gym uniforms for the previous PE classes of other students. If both middle schools were renovated in 2017, we added five private change stations available to all students.
The district also said it will work with local families to decide on the next step.
“The district and the board are united with our leaders and educators on this issue and have a common commitment to supporting the law,” the statement continued.
“The district and the board are urging all people to express concerns and perspectives on the issue to ensure that staff and educators are respectful and civic. We are pleased to work with our families to determine the appropriate next step to help our children in the well-being and participation.”
