Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte This week I responded to his estranged wife, Kayla.
Kayla Reid last month gave a social media post a slideshow of “reminders” amid the divorce. However, the former swimmer pushed back the notion that he was dishonest in his marriage.

“We sometimes face trials that we don’t choose or see, and in that moment we are forced to make the most difficult decisions to protect peace, our children, and our future. I have always come to realize that this is not the most loving decision that someone can make.
Lochte then went to Instagram and stated, “It wasn’t easy.”
“I want to acknowledge what Kayla shared, and the last year has made a huge difference for both of us, leading to the difficult decision to end our marriage.
“This decision hasn’t been easy, but I think it’s the right step towards peace and happiness for both of us. I’m still committed to working together with healing, growth and respect as I move forward. I’d like to thank you for your continued support.
The couple got engaged in 2016. That same year, Lotte was involved in a controversial incident at a gas station. Rio Olympics.
