Colorado Rockies“The Akistomal start of their 2025 campaign on Saturday fell to the San Diego Padres 21-0 at Coors Field, hitting the new Low as they marked the worst shutout loss in franchise history.
As Padres Unable to believe what MLB fans are seeing, their voices were heard on social media
The 6-33 record is far worse in MLB, so the products on the field were all heinous all year round. However, Rockies fans in the stands, who had a football score on the board at Coorsfield and had far surpassed Padres supporters, were chanting the change.

“The Rockies lost 19-0 at the bottom of the fifth,” posted one X user. “The crowd is chanting,” he says, and sells the team. ”
It’s not the first time that Rockies owner Dick Monfort has heard a chant to sell his team. They have lost over 100 games in each of the last two seasons as they have no record of victory since 2018.
Longtime Denver Gazette columnist Woody Page gave his views after watching Saturday’s game.
MLB Roundtable: Are there any good teams in AL West? Are the Giants legal?
“The paranoid Dick Monfort said in a rare way that the Rockies could make the best defense in baseball history before the season.” Page wrote on x. “Rockshead was just a bit off. The Rockies led MLB on an error and finally a fielding percentage. Greeley, back to Dick and stink with you.”
“My arms are resting when necessary!” It shows how hopeless fans are to see good products.
“Send Rockies to Triple A,” another X user posted.
“The league should step in and take the team from Inept Ownership, McCourt Style,” another wrote. “Ownership of the Rockies is not worthy of having that team. [Nolan] The Arenado trade was an absolute end. ”

Meanwhile, some noticed that despite the horrific deficit, there were still many fans in the stands. Look at the crowd when the Padres became a star Fernando Tatis Jr. He hit Homer with a 3-run homer to make it 19-0.
One fan gave an idea of why Monfort never sells.
“It’s 20-0 #padres in six innings and fans are doing waves with time in life,” X user posted. “This is why Monforts doesn’t sell #Rockies. Fans don’t care. Weather, beer, etc. It’s pathetic for real baseball fans.”
One of those true baseball fans urged Rockies supporters to stop going to the game after watching it last night.
“As someone from Colorado, it’s absolutely embarrassing for people to still go to the game and complain about how bad they are,” he wrote. “…You’re the reason Monfort won’t sell. Stop attending and give him money.”
Ultimately, at least the Rockies social media team is trying to find a way to downplay the situation.

The MLB record (121), which is the most loss of a year, was set in 2024 by the Chicago White Sox.
The Rockies appear to rival that disastrous record.
