Former University of Kentucky swimmer and former University of Kentucky host Riley Gaines, who finished fifth with Thomas in the 200-yard freestyle that year, has led a lawsuit against the NCAA over the policies that allowed Thomas to compete. One of the demands in Gaines’ lawsuit is that the NCAA withdraws all of Thomas’ championships.
Fox News Digital has contacted the NCAA asking if they plan to make changes to Thomas’ 2022 Championship finish and when they have not responded.
Gaines sent a message to the NCAA about the issue in an interview with “Dont @Me With Dan Dakich” on Wednesday.

“The University of Pennsylvania is the Ivy League, but you need to withdraw records from your accounts and record boards, but the NCAA doesn’t need me to understand, so you’ll see what the NCAA does,” Gaines said.
Gaines doesn’t expect the NCAA to be willing to correct these records.
