The Oklahoma Association of Professional Educators has returned, but they declined to comment, citing the fact that details of this new teacher assessment have not yet been notified. The National Association of Educators’ Oklahoma branch also declined to comment.
OSDE’s new assessment for new teachers is not the first reform Walters has led over the past few months to ensure students receive pro-American education in the state. About six months ago, Walters released the standard for the updated social studies standard aimed at strengthening citizenship and constitutional research across all grades “parent families, in favor of pro-American values.”
