Van Nice, California – Man accused of murdering “American Idol” The music executive and her husband made their first appearance at a Southern California courthouse on Thursday.
Raymond Boudarian, 22, has been charged with two counts of murder and one count of first-degree robbery. Special circumstances have also been raised regarding the murder, Associate District Attorney Hilary Williams said outside Van Nuis’ court. The Boudarian remained hidden behind the court door during the hearing.
The District Attorney’s Office was ready to indict the suspect today, but the arrest was moved on August 20th. He could face life without parole or the possibility of death, Williams said.

Boudarian was arrested Tuesday on felony charges and was taken into custody without bail after being accused of murdering the couple at Encino’s home.
“He was arrested from his residence, near the 19,000 block of Vanowen Street. He was arrested safely.” Los Angeles Police Station Guy Golanchu Li previously told Fox News Digital.
“American Idol” music boss Robin Kay and her husband discovered they were murdered in their LA home.
“He has not filed a statement at this time, and investigators are planning to file a murder charge against him.”

At Boudarian’s home, a family spokesman told Fox News Digital: [have] I lost my life. ”
Music director Robin Kay, who has worked on more than 300 episodes of the popular singing show, and her husband Thomas Delca, were found dead at their home on Monday, July 14th.

LAPD officials said both Kaye and Deluca were found with multiple gunshot wounds, and the double murders appeared to be a random act of violence.

“We are still investigating possible motives. There is no connection between the suspect and the victim right now,” Golan said before stating that Boudarian was identified through surveillance video.
“We still don’t know if the suspect drove to the scene, if he walked, or if he got on a bus or an Uber. There are many footnotes to show that the suspect is in the residence, except for surveillance video recovered from the house.
Kaye and Deluca were found dead inside their homes around 2:30pm on July 14th after officers answered a call for a welfare check in the 4700 block of White Oak Avenue in Encino. Both victims were 70.
