Israeli officials recently placed unique 14th century Bible It is on display just a year after it was purchased in a total of seven figures.
The National Library of Israel announced the Shem Tov Bible exhibition in a recent press release. The library began displaying books from centuries old, which were loaned out by its owners on May 8th.
The Jewish book, dubbed “a monumental work of the Bible, artistic, masoretic and Cabal Science Scholarship,” dates back to medieval Spain. It was sold in 2024 at a Sotheby auction for $6.9 million. This is a representative confirmed by Fox News Digital.

We are equally pleased that the manuscript will be digitalised to the highest standards and can enjoy research, research, or simply beauty around the world.”

Chime Nelia, curator of the National Library of Israel, also said the Bible allows scholars to study the Jewish tradition that “almost disappeared from historical records.”

“An important aspect of the codex is the observance of Sefer Tagei, a traditional guide that outlines the writing practices necessary to write sacred texts,” the historian said.
