
Adam Devine He continues to live in chronic pain after being hit by a cement truck when he was 11 years old.
In an episode ofGraham Bensinger and Depth“Podcast, Devine, 41, reminded me of his horrific childhood accident, which he believed would kill him.

According to Devine, doctors “really don’t know” what is going on medically, but shared the results of their worse case Senario.
“They said I was dying. Literally, last year they told me,” he said.
“They said I said this illness was called hard-person syndrome, and that’s what you can’t walk anymore when your muscles get so tight.

“They told me I was dying. Literally, last year they told me that.”
“And basically, the average life expectancy for people who have it is six years. And they told me I was literally a month before my son Beau was born,” Devine added, referring to his one-year-old son, who has actress Chloe Bridge.
“And so, I’m like, ‘Oh, wow, I’m going to die now.’

“And six months passed…it wasn’t that good. And I could only walk a few blocks before it got tight enough to move anymore. And they said, “We think you have it. And I went to see him.”

“One companion was across the street. He cried, “Come on!”, “I’m excited to go and see the boobs!” And I heard, “Come on!”, “The coast is sunny!”, Devine told the outlet.
He walked his bike down the street and was hit by a car.

“I say the reason I lived in was that the bike was the first hit. I still slid 500 feet in. I picked me up under the first two wheels and then spitted out,” he said.
Over the next two years, Devine had 25 surgeries and had limited mobility.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actor recalled the accident positively.
“I’m glad that it happened to me. It really motivated me,” he said.

“Some of their dads burned them with cigarettes and stuff. Did my dad just pushed me into a wheelchair? That could be even worse. They had a cement truck.”
