20 year old man As GoFundme pages raise funds for medical expenses, those who fell to a wall and crashed into a field at Pittsburgh’s PNC Park are “waking up and being wary.”

Markwood flipped the wall railing over and fell onto the field in a game between the Pirates and the Chicago Cubs.

GoFundMe was created earlier this week, and its organizers provided a positive update for Markwood.
“We are very relieved and grateful to be able to share the encouraging news about our bag. This morning, our bags are able to wake up, beware and speak,” writes Jennifer Phillips. “After everything he has experienced since the accident on Wednesday night, this progress is nothing but a miracle.
“He still has a long way ahead of him, but today has brought us a moment of hope that we are all working hard on. We appreciate your prayers, support and generosity.
Play quickly stopped as medical staff sprinted into the outfield and found a shirtless Markwood visible on his face, over the dirt on the warning truck. Trainers from both teams joined EMS and placed him in the cart and removed him from the field.

Pirates star Andrew McCutchen hit a two-run double that brought the team to 4-3 at the bottom of the innings.
The game was paused for about 10 minutes as medical personnel arrived. Fans were placed on the backboard, loaded into medical carts, and transported the stadium to the hospital.

Markwood played with two people. Division II Football ProgramWalsh University and Wheeling University. According to the team’s website, he played for Wheeling in 2023 and appeared in four games.

“I really hate what happened tonight,” McCutchen wrote on social media. “Thinking about that guy, his family, or his friends won’t help you. Pray for him tonight. Think of his loved ones, and hold your family a little tighter tonight. I hope he will pull.
